'Omega' EP due out April 8, 2014!
Grand Rapids, MI | March 5, 2014 - Grand Rapids based post-hardcore band, Fine Fine Titans, have partnered up with #1 horror site Bloody-Disgusting for the exclusive world premiere of their “Dance of the Omega” music video. The track is off their new EP, ‘Omega’, produced by Erik Ron (Panic at the Disco, Foxy Shazam, Saosin, Chiodos, New Years Day) and set to drop on April 8th. When asked about the inspiration behind the dark video, FFT explained,
"The concept of this video was driven strictly by the lyrics…we wanted to portray a group of people who were physically taken hostage to represent the emotional damage caused by those who held power over them. The animal costumes helped to reflect on the core of the song and hide the faces of the individuals, thus making the characters more elusive."
May 17th - Pyramid Scheme - Grand Rapids, Michigan
Fine Fine Titans are a four-piece female fronted post-hardcore ensemble hailing from the Great Lakes region of Grand Rapids, Michigan. The band originally startedas the brainchild of husband/wife (bassist/vocalist) Evan and Jennifer Bartlett. The couple met in 2007 after Jen’s old band performed in Evan’s hometown of Grand Rapids. Two years and a marriage certificate later they decided to merge their love of music and complimentary creativity to form a new band. They searched for members
and started writing music and playing out, with Fine Fine Titans officially taking shape in December of 2010.
The duo rounded out their sound with the addition of guitarist Dustin Posthuma and drummer Jason Campbell. They began cultivating their signature fervent hard-rock tunes for their 2012 debut EP, ‘Arms’. FFT’s introductory effort and energetic live performance garnered them a loyal following and comparisons to genre inspirers such as Every Time I Die, The Bled, He Is Legend and Letlive. Their meteoric rise in the local music landscape also got them selected for opening slots for Dead Sara,
Emery, Blessthefall, Vanna, Still Remains, Stray From The Path and I See Stars.
The quartet is a force to be reckoned with collectively, but it’s vocalist Jennifer Bartlett who has grabbed the scene by the balls. “On top of sloping the notes she hits into powerful vibratos, she throws in Chino Moreno-esque screams with murderous frantic shrills before breakdowns that make you want to dance AND throw people simultaneously.”
Lyrically Bartlett explains she finds her inspiration in “heartbreak and struggle. I’m driven by the natural energy and chemistry that not only flows through people but also connects us to animals and nature. I’m a dreamer. I’m inspired by change and those who are impassioned enough to make positive strides despite hardships.”
After the successful release of ‘Arms’, Fine Fine Titans went through a member reconfiguration with the exit of Campbell on drums and Luke Pietscher quickly jumping in to fill the vacancy. FFT got to work on their follow up EP, teaming up with producer Erik Ron (Panic at the Disco, Foxy Shazam, Saosin, Chiodos, New Years Day), engineer
Adrian Alvarado, with mastering done by Anthony Lopardo. Members Posthuma and Pietscher made their departure from the group soon after completing the record. Joining the ranks in the winter of 2013/2014 were drummer Joe Smith and guitarist Kris Sosa.
With a full lineup in place and undeniably killer EP on the horizon, Fine Fine Titans are about to shake things up in 2014.

Recently I was able to to ask South African singer/songwriter Jesse Clegg some questions about his tour and here’s what he had to say
Fifteen Minute Media- Your very first North America tour is starting soon. How are you feeling?
Jesse Clegg- It’s very exciting. I’ve always enjoyed playing in the States but this is a career highlight because it is the first time I’m playing so many shows in so many different cities. I love traveling and meeting new people, as well as being exposed to new music and bands, so this will be a fantastic experience all round.
FMM- What can people expect when they go to a show?
JC - Most of the shows we are doing are unplugged, which is a great show to play. As a singer-songwriter, I write all my songs on acoustic guitar, and so to perform them in a stripped down, intimate setting like this really allows me get back to the root of the songs. It gives the audience a sense of what the songs are about and how they were written.
FMM- You’ve been around music your entire life. What about it made you interested in pursuing it yourself?
JC - Being exposed to the music industry from a young age was a double edged sword for me. On the one hand I saw the power of music to move people and to communicate a message. But I also saw what a difficult career path it can be and how it can take a toll on your personal life. I was hesitant to get into it myself. It was only when I started writing my own music when I was 16 years old, that it really became my passion and my means of expression. That was when I realised that this was my life - regardless of the hardships ahead. Being an artist is a life of risk, and that risk is only worthwhile when you love what you do, more than you fear the risk of failing.
FMM- How would you describe your music and sound to someone?
JC - Alt. rock with influences of blues, pop and folk.
FMM - You write your own music. What kind of things do you take inspiration from in your writing?
JC - Being in a creative career really entails staying sensitive to your environment and those around you. Life is full of meaning if you are open to it. I write about my own experiences, the things I see in other people, stories I hear or just a feeling or a mood. I also try to expose myself to new art. Whether its film, paintings or new bands, its always good to be a fan of other artists - It gives you a sense of what else is out there. You never know where you will encounter your next good idea so its a matter of staying open.
FMM - You are an ambassador for the Nelson Mandela Foundation. What about the organization appeals to you and what do you do as an ambassador?
JC - The foundation deals with AIDs awareness and treatment. This is a very serious issue facing the African Continent and so it’s an honour to be able to make a contribution towards overcoming this problems. It was also fronted by Nelson Mandela - to be a part of his vision and aspiration for Africa is an honour in itself. I performed at the 46664 Concert in New York in Radio City Music Hall to raise global awareness for this cause and I attend various charity events for the Foundation.
FMM- And lastly, what do you want people who go to your shows to take away from them?
JC - As a songwriter, the best moment for me is when people are connecting to my songs on a personal level. Songwriting has the power to communicate a message and a meaning that is greater than words, and so if someone can walk away having been moved by my work, that’s successful show for me.
